LET'S GET
TO WORK
Hello folks.
My name is Mauricio (Muh-REESE-yo) and this is a picture of me operating a camera while wearing a wooden bow tie for some reason. For nearly a quarter century now, I've been a productive and driven creative working in an array of mediums, including film, social media, video game marketing, web design and music.
I'm eager to find a new mission with a talented team. One where the bar is higher than I've yet vaulted and where the people around me make me better just by being in the room (or zoom call). One where I can make a real impact, and share what I've learned about making stuff happen.
Let's talk.
All of the videos you see above were conceptualized, scripted, captured, edited, and polished by yours truly, in collaboration with the game developers themselves directly. Also I recorded my elderly dad's voice for the Squirrel with a Gun - Gravity Gun Update trailer because I just sorta felt like it. One thing to take note of as you watch these promos, is the wildly different styles of each title and how I was able to adapt.

Works
As the full time Senior Video Production Manager at Maximum Entertainment (Formerly Modus Games) I was responsible for 11 years worth of high-stakes content to promote hundreds of indie game productions, including Announcement and Launch Trailers for every title, digital ads, virtual capture, cinematic composition, and more. Many pieces organically reached upwards of 100k views, in some cases upwards of 4 million views across all channels.
Below are just a few examples, with a link to see a larger collection.
That's right! As a film school graduate I've geeked out on more camera equipment than you've ever heard of. With that skill combined with my love of love, in 2017, I decided to embark on an entrepreneurial journey to build a thriving wedding filmmaking business that went on to gross over $150k on average (excluding 2020) and I'm very proud to say that the work speaks for itself. I consider it both a hobby and profession, with which I can explore different types of storytelling, beef up on cinematography skills, stay current on trends, and meet amazing folks all across the world.
and they don't suck!

I ALSO SHOOT
Mauricio is a gem - a Video Editor who can write scripts, handle sound design, and not only expertly run the camera (both still and video), but also has a ton of experience setting up and producing shoots on location and at events. He’s a one-man video army, and I depended on him as my Lead Video Guy for almost a decade. He can work across genres and styles, and yes, he even works quickly (perhaps the most productive video editor I’ve ever worked with).

I had the pleasure of working with Mauricio for nearly a decade at Maximum Games and Maximum Entertainment, and he is one of the most dependable creative professionals I’ve worked with in my 20-year career. While he’s an exceptional video editor and producer, Mauricio is truly a full-stack creative. He can write scripts, produce shoots, operate camera, edit, create motion graphics, handle sound design, and take a project from concept to polished final delivery with very little oversight. What has always set him apart, though, is how much he genuinely cares. He consistently went above and beyond because he took ownership of his work and was deeply invested in the success of both the project and the company. When Mauricio was assigned something, I knew it would get done quickly, done well, and done right.
Beyond his talent, Mauricio is an amazing teammate. He never needed to be micromanaged, was proactive about finding solutions, and was someone I could trust completely. He’s collaborative, humble, receptive to feedback, and completely free of ego, making him a pleasure to work with every day. I recommend Mauricio without hesitation. Any organization would be fortunate to have him on their team.

Mauricio is hands down one of the most talented video editors I’ve encountered in over 15 years in the industry—a distinction I don’t assign lightly. At Maximum Entertainment, Mauricio was a versatile and reliable creative force. Whether managing quick-turnaround projects or producing polished, long-form content, he consistently found innovative ways to bring titles to life on screen. His skill set spans scriptwriting, cinematography, sound editing, and more, making him a true one-man creative powerhouse. Mauricio’s ability to elevate any campaign makes him an irreplaceable asset, and any organization would be lucky to have him.
